Our B Corp Certification
We’re the first responsibility-focused strategic communications agency for the legal sector.
Certified B Corporations
We’re very excited to be the first responsibility-focused strategic communications agency for the legal sector to become a certified B Corporation! We’re part of a growing group of companies reinventing business – by pursuing purpose as well as profit. That means we’ve met the rigorous social and environmental standards which represent our commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.
We’re striving to create systemic change across the business world, not only helping law firms to become more responsible, but also working closely with them, to better communicate with and support their clients, steering them towards this transformation too.
- Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
- They meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
- As of 2023, there are more than 6000 B Corps in 89 countries and 159 industries.
The B Corp community in the UK, representing a broad cross section of industries and sizes, comprises over 1000 companies and includes well-known brands such as The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, The Body Shop, and organic food pioneers Abel & Cole.
what being a b corp means to us
Here at ELE, and through Elephants in Action, we’re committed to giving back by providing charitable donations and pro- bono services to organisations that seek solutions to environmental, business and social challenges.
But this isn’t just words. This is a promise that we’ve made and want to make sure you know all about this – you can find out more by clicking here. Because this has always been an ethos we’ve strived towards, we’ve spent the last few years working hard to meet the rigorous criteria needed to become a B Corp.
the Founder and CEO of ELE
“There are only a handful of B Corps in Scotland. To have achieved this status in Scotland is a source of great pride to me, personally. Those that have worked with ELE will know that having a measurably ethical approach is central to our agency purpose. We have long been passionate about the B Corp movement.“
“Its accreditation standards mirror our own values, as well as our approach to advising clients to be more purposeful and responsible. After a year of hard work and disruption – shared by so many over 2020 – I’m particularly proud and happy that ELE has joined this community, during B Corp Month.”

Our business structure (with one official director, a small core team, and a network of sub-contractors rather than employees) means that we aren’t able to benefit from the wisdom a traditional Board of Directors brings.
It can make it hard to get the perspective required to make decisions on growth and priorities. We’re looking for honest opinions and a drive for success… which is why we’re building an advisory board to formalise the many informal advisor relationships we have. It will help us to weather current opportunities and challenges and, most importantly, to drive our responsible ethos forward.
